This chestnut filly hails from an immediate family of black-type and metropolitan winners who are early running types. Partnered up with three time winning two-year-old Hard Spun this filly has speed to burn!


Her dam El Spark (by Elvestroem) was a multiple winner and also culminated a second placing in the 2010 Group 3 Auraria Stakes and a further metropolitan placing into her ten start career. El Spark is from the 3x metropolitan winner and Group 3 Dermody Stakes 2ND placegetter - Dual Spark.


El Spark is a half-sister to two black-type earners in SPARKS FLY (1ST Listed Morphettville Guineas) and Sparks Burn (3RD Listed St Albans Stakes). From five foals to race all have been multiple winners and have collectively won 13 races and over $470,000 in stakes earnings. Further progeny include metropolitan winner Sparks Alight (1st Bendigo Gold Bracelet) and Just A Spark (Recent winner - 09/06/2014).


Her sire Hard Spun (by Danzig) ensures line breeding to Danzig and Northern Dancer on both sides. Hard Spun was an American racehorse who won seven races from thirteen and won over US$2.5 million highlighted by victory in the 2007 King’s Bishop Stakes.


Key progeny include TEXT’N HURLEY (Group 2 Sunline Stakes), CRYSTAL WEB (Listed Mss Security Stakes) and WESTERN BLAZE (Listed Raconteur Stakes). His yearlings sold for up to $215,000 during the 2013/14 sales season.
