A winner of 1200m in the USA before injury forced his retirement, Fortified is by the leading Mr Prospector stallion Seeking The Gold who has produced 88 stakes winners including the Darley owned champion racehorse and stallion Dubai Millenium and Lujain. In Australia he is of course best known as the sire of top line stallion Secret Savings.

Fortified is out of the stakes winning Storm Cat mare Mycatcandance, a full sister to another Darley owned stallion in Consolidator. His second dam is the stakes winning Crystal Glitters mare Good Example and this is the strong black type family of Group 2 winning Tim Tam mare Nancy Jr.

A masculine, well built stallion, Fortified is a magnificent horse to look at. He stands 16.1H with good bone, a huge shoulder and forearm. He has an attractive head with a wide jowl and forehead. Photos don't do him justice.
