Sequalo is a super sire. He has sired the winners of 1380 races at the time of writing this. His progeny have earned in excess of $22 million. He is the sire of the exciting sprinter Burdekin Blues and this colt's full brother Holding.
Out of CHEER GIRL
Cheer Girl is a top class broodmare from a very strong family. She has had four to race for three winners including our very good horses Holding and Polish The Silver.
Holding was a star. He won 10 races including the VRC Century Stakes at Flemington on Emirates Day, The Toledo Handicap at Flemington. He was a finalist in the Victorian Country Horse of the Year in 2004.
Polish The Silver was a very good horse. Unfortunately his career was cut short by a dreadful race day accident which saw him put down.
As a three year old he won two races during the Brisbane Winter Carnival.
I leased another full sister but she was retired after not getting over a bad virus.
Cheer Girl comes from a great family which traces back to the VRC Oaks winner Scomeld.
I rarely get emotional at the yearling sales but I was quite moved when I purchased this outstanding colt. I doubt if I have ever purchased a nicer horse. He is a terrific athlete and incredibly well put together.
I asked Bill Mitchell and David Hayes to give me their opinion of the horse. Both were full of praise with Bill stating that he is much nicer than Holding and Polish The Silver were at the same age.
David was very keen for me to buy the horse and I'm certain he will do a tremendous job with him.
Holding was without one of the very best horse's that I have offered for syndication.
