If patience isn’t your forte, and you’d rather go racing sooner rather than later, then you want to take a share in this most handsome chestnut gelding by the brilliant winner producing stallion MAGIC ALBERT. Having just turned three, here’s a horse that with normal luck, will be at the trials and races within just a few months of our new syndicate commencing.
We came about this horse as a result of some good information from one of our agents who advised us that he was being sold at the Inglis Spring Thoroughbred Sale to help settle a dispute between his previous owners. Having just turned 3, the hard work’s been done for us, he’s already had two light preparations and got as far as the jump outs before being turned out for a spell 12 weeks ago, so he is ready to go straight into work for us. As he’s not even named yet, one of our lucky owners will even have the privilege of giving him his racing name! He’s BOBS eligible and so we’re keeping him in NSW to take advantage of the generous bonus scheme in that state, and he’ll be trained at Gosford by Grant Allard, who also took the time to travel down to Sydney to inspect the horse on our behalf before we went in to bid on him. Another to inspect the horse before we went in to bid on him was Randwick Equine Centre Vet. Dr Josephine Leutton, who was taken by his physique and gave us an excellent report saying that he was a well muscled, handsome chestnut gelding who appeared to have good joints and was sound at the walk and trot. As a result of doing our homework on him, we were very happy to acquire him for Grand Syndicates for the base price of $10,500.
Magic Albert has sired over 300 individual winners on the racetrack including the high class G1 winning gallopers ALBERT THE FAT, ILOVETHISCITY, MAGIC CAPE and FIGHTING WARRIOR. This gelding is from a very handy winner producing family. His first three dams were all multiple city winners with Empire Lady winning 4 times, Marion Miss winning 11 times, and Peggy Sure winning 7 times! Each of those mares have in turn produced multiple winners themselves, and in fact our boy is a half brother to 5 winners including stakes-winner Lucky Leak who won 8 races and over $300,000 in prizemoney in Queensland including the Listed Weetwood Handicap!
He’s 100% sound with a great pedigree and a solid foundation already put in place, so all he needs now are the new owners to come along and cheer him on at the races!
