A 2YO Stakes winner, WRITTEN TYCOON took out the G2 STC Todman Slipper Trial Stakes at his third start beating DOMESDAY and JET SPUR to the line. A shaper of sires, previous Todman winners include CHARGE FORWARD, EXCEED AND EXCEL, GENERAL NEDIYM and MARAUDING. As a 3YO, WRITTEN TYCOON was runner up to MEDIA in the G3 AJC San Domenico S. with both SNITZEL and STRATUM finishing in his wake.


Retired to Eliza Park's Victorian operation in 2007, WRITTEN TYCOON's first crop of 2YO's certainly made an impact and he was subsequently crowned Champion First Season sire in 2010/11. Recording 61 individual winners to date, he boasts an almost 60% runners-winners ratio. His 9 stakes performing horses include HOWMUCHDOYOULOVEME (MRC Caulfield Sprint H. [G2]), TRUMP (BRC Gunsynd Classic [G3]). Sold recently for $3m., which reflects his commercial value as a sire, WRITTEN TYCOON will be back on Victorian soil this coming breeding season.


This is the fourth foal for unraced dam IMOGEN GRACE, by Genuine, who is a half sister to Sydney Cup [G1] runner-up Irazu. IMOGEN GRACE's 2010 foal, Magnum Pe I, by Magnus, recently saluted in town. Second dam MORRIGAN CLARE is a full sister to G1 winner and 3 times Group placed ZAPARRI (WATC Railway S. [G1]; 2d VATC Autumn S. [G3]; 3d SAJC Breeders' S [G2]; VATC Victoria H. [G3]). She has produced five winners at stud including 5 time Group placed Irazu. Winning third dam CHRISJULE has thrown 7 winners including ZAPARI (above).


With plenty of staying blood in all three generations, this filly is in good hands with our Group 1 VRC Oaks winning trainer Pat Carey. She has also been nominated for SV Gold and the Inglis bonus series.
