From his first start when 2nd over 1200m's out of 14 horses as $1.80 favourite The Regal One has shown that he has tremendous pace. In that race the horse that finished a neck in front has now won 7 and was 1.4 off Moonee Valley and the 3rd horse won a TAB race by 2.5 lengths at next start.
Placing at his next two starts while making it 3 runs in a row as favourite over 1100 and 1200. As equal favourite at his next he found the 1400 a little to far. 4 off at his next after dissapointing for a run with the same occurence at his next as well and again 1400 maybe not his best but started from barrier 9. Again Barrier 9 and run over 1600 and proving he could run further than 1200 by holding his ground.
After a good spell his next 5 runs again showed that his best distance is 1000 to 1200. 6th of 15 at his first follwed by two 2nd's and is very unlucky not to have won his maiden. He showed favourite is not his most worthwhile trait and his last run from a barrier 16 ended where 80% of double figure barrier draws end.
