Blue Gum Farm Announce Fees

Blue Gum Farm has also announced its fees for 2016 with shuttler Canford Cliffs (Tagula) heading its four stallion roster for an unchanged fee of $13,750 (inc GST). A multiple Group One winner, Canford Cliffs sired 35 winners in his first European crop last year, including three stakes winners in the Group Two winner Painted Cliffs, Group Three winner Most Beautiful and the Listed winner Aktoria. At this year’s Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale his second Australian crop sold for up to $250,000 and averaged $105,000.

Turffontein (Johannesburg) will stand his seventh season at Blue Gum Farm for an unchanged fee of $11,000 (inc GST). The sire of Group Two winners Fontein Ruby and Fontiton, Turffontein yearlings sold for up to $120,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

 Blue Gum Farm’s 2016 roster is completed by Glass Harmonium (Verglas) and War (More Than Ready). Winner of the Mackinnon Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) and over $1,600,000 in prize money, Glass Harmonium will stand his fourth season at stud for an unchanged fee of $6,600 (inc GST).

Up And Coming Stakes (Gr 3, 1300m) winner War meanwhile will stand his third season at stud for $6,600 (inc GST), which is also at last year’s level. War’s first crop will be yearlings in 2017. A half-brother to Vinery Stud Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Fenway (High Chaparral), War is out of a half-sister to Tuesday Joy (Carnegie) and Sunday Joy (Sunday Silence), herself the dam of More Joyous (More Than Ready).
