TO BE TRAINED BY STEVEN O’DEA AT EAGLE FARM.
Steve O’Dea has won more than 500 races since saddling up his first runner in 2005. In the ensuing years, the stable has grown to become one of the leading forces in Brisbane and now operates in partnership with co-trainer Matt Hoysted.


Graduates of the stable have reached Group level success with star racetrack performers such as Sir Moments – winner of the Gr 2 QLD Guineas and Sesar – winner of the Gr 2 Roman Consul Stakes.

"Very happy with how she has handled her first time at the stables. She will head off for a 6 week break before heading back in for pre-training work, with the aim for her to extend towards to ¾ pace work once back at the stables" UPDATE: pretraining completed, returned to race stables 19/07

This chestnut filly is a beautiful type, a real eye catcher with a flashy blaze and three white socks she is sure to be a standout in the mounting yard! Having been broken in and undergone an early educational preparation, she has already been in the O’Dea stable for her first taste of life as a fully fledged racehorse. As from 19th July has been back at the race stables. All things going well, she will be worked up to a trial or possible race start before heading for another spell. Training videos can be provided upon request.


She is by The Mission who was an outstandingly tough 2yo winning the Group 3 ATC Schweppervescence Handicap by two and a half lengths. He finished his juvenile campaign with a dominant win in the Group 1 ATC Champaign Stakes, a result which saw him announced as Co-Champion 2YO Colt in Australia for 2016-2017. In his 3yo season he finished less than a length and a half behind Trapeze Artist and Redzel in the Group 1 ATC All Aged Stakes, adding more merit to the performance was that the race was run in track record time.


Having commenced stud duties in 2018 the filly on offer is from The Mission’ first crop which are just yearlings.


This filly is also the first foal out of a winning mare who is from a family that has proven generation after generation to produce a fantastic winners to runners ratio. This is also the family of superb black type performers such as Close Your Eyes, Can’t Hackit, La Fille En Jeu and Overtheriver.


In the mould of her sire, this filly has the hallmarks of a real early runner being a neat, strong, muscular, compact type. All of which gives the impression she will go early. Her physical makeup is supported by the fact that she is also an early September foal. Although she presents as a real Pocket Rocket she still has enough scope to further develop into a progressive horse.


This is a fantastic opportunity to secure an interest in a very promising young horse that is very close to hitting the racetrack.
