Imported stayer Voila Ici will be out to show the newly-arrived shipment of internationals what they need to do if they want to cut it in Melbourne this spring when he steps out in the Group One Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on Saturday.
The well-performed Italian stallion who accompanied Black Caviar on her trip home from England has already had two starts in Melbourne and has acquitted himself well both times.
In his latest run Voila Ici beat all but Ocean Park in the Group One Underwood Stakes at Caulfield.
The effort delighted his trainer Peter Moody who will take Voila Ici straight to the Caulfield Cup after Saturday's race.
"He's gone along nicely ever since he got here and Saturday should have him just about right," Moody said.
"He'll go straight to the Caulfield Cup."
Voila Ici is one of 19 entries for the Turnbull in which the most highly-rated prospect is Southern Speed on 115, ahead of December Draw and Rekindled Interest who have handicapper ratings of 112.
The entries also includes a trio of Lloyd Williams-owned runners, the pick of which could be the Irish-bred Mourayan who trialled impressively between races at Caulfield on Sunday.
Mourayan had the better of stablemates Seville, who is also a Turnbull nomination, and Midas Touch.
The effort followed a close second to Lamasery in the Hill Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill on September 22 and his previous fourth to Southern Speed over 1600m at Flemington two weeks earlier.
The third of the Williams entries is Green Moon who finished a close second last start to Happy Trails at Moonee Valley.
