Desleigh Forster isn't concerned by a hike in weight for in-form mare Poste Restante at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Poste Restante will carry 58kg with Michael Cahill to ride in the Mount Franklin Benchmark 95 Handicap (2100m), a rise of 2.5kg on the weight she carried to a narrow victory at Eagle Farm on December 1.

"Even though she's up a bit in weight she has the right draw to get a soft run," Forster said.

"From gate three she should be able to box seat because there doesn't look a lot of speed in the race apart from Bell Academy who looks the only leader."

Forster said Poste Restante had settled well back in her races this campaign mainly because of wide barriers.

"She's either drawn the outside barrier or one from the outside in every start and if we had gone forward last time she would've been eight-deep going into the back straight," she said.

"Michael knows her back-to-front and can put her anywhere he wants to depending on the pace of the race."

After Poste Restante won last start, Forster originally planned to give the mare her next start in the Summer Cup (2400m) at Randwick on Boxing Day.

However Forster now believes the timing of Saturday's race fits in nicely and will provide a suitable lead-up to the Sydney feature.

She also confirmed the mare would race in blinkers.

"This race fits in well with her campaign going into the Summer Cup ten days later so I don't see that as any issue for her," she said.

"She's done really well and looks even better in the coat than she did last start.

"I also didn't want to take her to Sydney and be experimenting with blinkers when they can go on in this race beforehand."

Forster will also be represented at Eagle Farm by Dream'n'ignite who is coming off a disappointing eighth to Jester's Girl in Listed company on December 1.

"She pulled a shoe off during the race and three days later an abscess busted out in the hoof," Forster said.

"I think that was the reason for the way she raced that day because it's just not her to put in a run like that without something being wrong."
