As we farewell 2012 the team at Bloodstock.com.au would like to wish all our loyal customers a very Merry Christmas, thank you for your support and reflect on a great year!
The past 12 months have been hugely rewarding with heaps of great horses being listed and sold, top stallions at stud joining us and the introduction of the Race Fields and Race Results sections.
As we look forward to 2013 and wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year, we wanted to share our reflections on 2012 and predictions for 2013!

Favourite Racehorse of the year?
Its A Dundeel - a kiwi galloper. I saw win in NZ as a 2yo who I thought would be a serious G1 Horse. He is only small (like me haha) but has got an amazing will to win. The juicy odds on offer every time he went around was also another reason!
Most memorable race for 2012?
Spring Champion Stakes - Its A Dundeel v Proisir – two unbeaten colts going for it down the Randwick straight was brilliant.
Best horse Rivalry this year?
Its A Dundeel v Proisir.
Who do you think will be the hottest FSS next year and why?
Denman. Outstanding racehorse by the Champion sire Lonhro who was a top class 2 and 3yo. Covered a terrific book of mares and with Darley heavily supporting him, I believe he will be right up there.
What FSS of 2YO is the most promising so far?
Real Saga. I’ve heard good reports about his progeny and he was an exceptional 2yo who arguably should have won the two major 2yo races in the Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond. I think he has slipped under people’s radar a little and could be the surprise packet of the 2yo sires.
What are your plans for Christmas Day?
Enjoying some drinks and food with family on the Gold Coast.
What are you most looking forward to in 2013?
Watching the British and Irish Lions play the Wallabies.

Favourite Racehorse of the year?
Cantonese. What a job he has done since being transferred to Bjorn Baker. 9 Starts 6 wins 2 placings and a 4th - amassing over $220k for his owners. Would not mind having a share in him!
Most memorable race for 2012?
Glencadam Gold and Fat Al's wins on Epsom Day. Was a great result for Tommy Berry to win his first and 2nd Group 1 on the same day.
Best horse Rivalry this year?
Australian Bred Horses vs The Internationals - we won!
Who do you think will be the hottest FSS next year and why?
I Am Invincible will be the hottest in regard to your return on Service fee. He has plenty of good looking foals and they look like horses the trainers will like.
What FSS of 2YO is the most promising so far?
War Pass, from a small number of foals, compared to others to have two winners from three runners to date is a great effort.
What are your plans for Christmas Day?
Eat plenty and always a bit of backyard Cricket.
What are you most looking forward to in 2013?
Seeing Manchester United at ANZ Stadium on the 20 July at 7:30pm.
