The decision to geld Gold Coast two-year-old Redsson again proved a winning one at Doomben on Saturday.

Redsson ($5) made it two wins from two starts as a gelding when he beat Syn City ($12) by three lengths with a half head to Military Miss ($14) in the Sky Racing Handicap (1050m).

Trainer Bruce Hill has had a big opinion of Redsson right from his first track gallops, but was worried the youngster's waywardness could cause problems.

At his first start, Redsson was second to smart galloper Wicked Intent at the Gold Coast and his unruliness cost him the race.

Hill and senior syndicate member Steve Foster decided to geld Redsson and he hasn't looked back.

"Redsson has improved lengths since he was gelded. He was pretty wayward before that, but since we have cut him he is a different horse," Hill said.

"I really have a big opinion of him and we came here very confident."

Redsson will contest some of the winter carnival two-year-old feature races, but Hill is yet to decide which path he will take.

"I am sure he will run a strong 1200 metres, but whether he would get the 1350 metres of the BRC Sires is something we will have to decide on," Hill said.

Redsson cost $28,000 as a yearling and has already returned nearly $100,00 in prize money and bonus payments.

A Sydney trip for the favourite Secret Saga ($1.90) is up in the air after she was slow to jump and ran home well for fifth.

Trainer Tony Gollan will make a final decision after monitoring the filly in the next few days.

Meanwhile, Gollan wasn't out of the winners circle for long when his stayer Highly Gentle ($3.40) won the Brazilian Beauty Handicap (2200m).

"He is a French horse and we decided to abandon the Australian way of training with him and go the European method," he said.

"We space his runs over three weeks and he loves wet tracks. He is thriving on the regime."
