A Boxing Day treble was even sweeter for leading jockey Hugh Bowman because it came from his only three rides at the Rosehill holiday meeting.
Bowman and Sydney's leading trainer Chris Waller both posted trebles with the pair combining to win with Georgey Aeroplane and talented sprinter Lonace.
Bowman's first winner came on the Peter Snowden-trained Imperil while Waller opened his day with a victory to three-year-old Hawkspur who was ridden by Corey Brown.
"It's the first time I've won three out of three," Bowman said after Lonace took out the Big Brown First Crop Handicap (1100m).
His other two scheduled rides were scratched.
Lonace powered to a first-up win in just the third race start for the four-year-old.
"He's got a bit of class," Bowman said.
"He's obviously had a few issues but he won that like a good horse.
"He just travelled beautifully within himself and quickened off that good pace. And I think he'll take a lot of improvement out of that fitness-wise."
