Mr Moet is the new favourite for the Perth Cup following the scratching of his stablemate Chester Road from Tuesday's Group Two event.
Trainer Adam Durrant found heat in one Chester Road's legs on Monday morning, prompting his wihtdrawal.
Railway Stakes winner Mr Moet, who beat Chester Road in the Group Two C B Cox Stakes, was promoted to $3.40 favouritism ahead of Sydney visitor Cantonese at $3.80.
Bookmakers believe they will fight out the race with Pop Culture ($7) the only other runner under double figures.
The 2400m Group Two race is the biggest test yet for the Bjorn Baker-trained Cantonese who won the Listed Christmas Cup at his most recent start.
He will once again be ridden by Jim Cassidy who produced a copybook front-running ride on the gelding in the Christmas Cup which he won by six lengths.
Cantonese is likely to again go forward after drawing one inside Pop Culture who has the outside barrier in the 16-horse field while Mr Moet will start from the middle of the pack.
