Gai Waterhouse will have another English Melbourne Cup contender with Highclere Thoroughbred Racing confirming it has sent Rule Book to Australia.
Highclere is the European leader in syndication and has performed well against the might of Coolmore and Godolphin in the past year.
"We've sent a horse out to Australia. Rule Book has joined Gai Waterhouse in the hope he's a Melbourne Cup horse," manager Harry Herbert said.
Waterhouse almost pulled off a coup when import Fiorente ran second in the 2012 Melbourne Cup at his first start for the trainer.
She will soon take charge of the Queen's horse Carlton House who is in quarantine at Werribee ahead of his new life in Australia.
Herbert has introduced a number of high-profile people to his syndicates including his latest client, Hugh Bonneville, star of Downton Abbey which is filmed at Highclere, Herbert's family home.
Last season Highclere really broke through into the big time with Bonfire and Vow and this year will have the promising Telescope.
"We hope to have a few nice horses next year, but without doubt the most exciting at this stage is Telescope who is high up in the ante-post betting for the Derby," Herbert said.
"He's by Galileo, who can do no wrong, and was very impressive on the second start of his career after just being touched off on his debut.
"He's got considerable potential and is certainly something to keep us warm over the winter."
