An inside barrier and plenty of speed are on Robert Heathcote's wish list for Heza Jetsetter in the Magic Millions Guineas.
Heza Jetsetter impressed Heathcote with his final hitout before the Millions when he finished third to Lucky Hussler and Sizzling in the Vo Rogue Plate at Doomben on December 29.
"I was delighted with his run but I probably had him a little bit too fresh for that race," he said.
"In the enclosure before the race he was a little bit above himself and sweated up on the way to the barriers but still ran a good race."
Traditionally the Guineas is run at a frantic pace and Heathcote is hoping it won't be any different this year.
"Plenty of speed and pressure is just what he needs," he said.
"If we can draw a favourable alley to enable him to travel a bit forward of midfield then peel to the outside, I think we'll see him hitting the line strongly."
The impressive form Heza Jetsetter is showing this campaign is only a taste of what's to come if Heathcote's prediction is proven correct.
"He's still a little bit skinny to look at but when he muscles up and grows into himself he's going to make a lovely horse," he said.
"Long term 1400 (metres) to a mile will be ideal for him and he looks a real Queensland Guineas horse for the winter."
Heza Jetsetter is on the fourth line of betting for the Guineas at $9 with Sizzling the $4 favourite to avenge his narrow loss in the Vo Rogue to Lucky Hussler who is a $7 chance at the Coast.
Heathcote said Greytfilly had pulled up well after dead-heating for second to Global Dream at the Gold Coast on New Year's day when she was again tardy out of the barriers.
"I've given her a couple of pretty easy days since her last run and she's happy in herself and eating up well," he said.
"The chiropractor has gone right over her and he says she's nice and supple."
The filly will undergo some barrier practice in the next few days before lining up in the Magic Millions Classic for which she is a $16 chance.
Kelly Schweida has confirmed last-start Doomben winner Discreet will start in the Guineas in preference to the Fillies and Mares Handicap.
