The greatest concern confronting trainer Peter Gelagotis ahead of Saturday's Rain Lover Handicap at Flemington is that he might be thought to be greedy.
Gelagotis will back-up his Bagot Handicap winner Module in the Rain Lover, and he admits he is asking for a special effort from the horse.
"The last thing I'd ever do is ask a horse to do more than I thought it was capable of," Gelagotis said.
"But he's in form, he's happy and he's sound, so why not."
Module found the best form of his career to win the Bagot and pull off a long-range plan put together by Gelagotis and his brother Manny.
In the Rain Lover he goes up from 54kg to 59.5kg, but has the benefit of a 3kg claim for in-form apprentice Damian Thornton.
"Our peak performance was the Bagot," Gelagotis said.
"But when you have a horse in form like he is, you don't have to do much.
"And if he runs up to that form they'll have their hands full."
Module has to handle the in-form Tuscan Fire, a winner of his past three starts, and Bagot runner-up Crafty Cruiser in the Rain Lover.
But Gelagotis isn't overly concerned about either horse.
"If they're good enough, that's fine, but I think we're the one to beat."
Another of the beaten Bagot runners, Warwarick, has her chance to make amends in the Jezabeel Handicap (2000m).
Trainer Bryce Stanaway is comfortable about backing up the mare who won her previous start over 2000m by 12 lengths.
His only concern is the possibility of a firm track.
