Three horses with the same mother, jockey, trainer, and owners are chasing a rare hat-trick at Rosehill on Saturday.
Garry White will take three horses to the Rosehill meeting, with talented two-year-old Shadowofyoursmile to be joined by her older half-brothers Colonel Light and Color Purple.
They are all out of the mare Leander Hall, who White also trained, and will all be ridden by apprentice Shaun Guymer.
"It's not often you see that," White said.
"Three horses by the same mare and they've got the same jockey on."
White also trains another member of the family, four-year-old General Sherman while Gai Waterhouse has the three-year-old sibling Field Marshall.
Things didn't go to script for Shadowofyoursmile at Rosehill on debut last month when Kathy O'Hara was dislodged shortly after the start.
The filly came out at her next start to win at Gosford despite racing greenly.
She runs in the Onemorenomore First Crop Handicap (1100m).
"She did a few things wrong last start and I hope she's taken a lot out of that race," White said.
"From a good draw tomorrow and with the kid's claim she should be pretty competitive.
"I don't think she's gone backwards and I wanted to run her again just to see how much she did take out of her win. It will be interesting."
White said a shot at the Listed Widden Stakes next month would be on the cards if Shadowofyoursmile can win.
"She'll tell us, but she's definitely got above average ability," he said.
Shadowofyoursmile, on form and in betting markets, is the leading chance for White at Rosehill but the Hawksbury trainer also believes seven-year-old Colonel Light is capable of figuring in the Rosehill Gardens Handicap (1200m) off a 10-day back-up from a last-start fourth at Newcastle.
"No-one knows how good that Colonel Light is," White said.
"He's a nice horse that's just had that many issues."
Six-year-old Color Purple will be tested over 1900m for the first time in the Become An ATC Member Handicap (1900m).
"I don't know if he'll run it out but he's a fighter so it might suit him," White said.
"If he runs the 1900, he's well-weighted in that race."
