Mr One Eleven's first win for almost a year won't change trainer John Sargent's slow and steady approach with the stayer.
The five-year-old came from last at the top of the straight to beat the favourite Dance Of Heroes ($5.50) by three-quarters of a length in the Rydge's Parramatta Handicap with Herne's Oak ($6) a nose away third.
Sargent said he was impressed with Mr One Eleven's run but wasn't thinking too far ahead.
"He might just go up through the grades for now, if he keeps running like this," Sargent said.
"I don't think he's going to be a top-level star but he's putting some nice races together, so we're very happy."
Jockey Joshua Parr said the gelding had an excellent turn of foot.
"When I asked him the question, he really let down," Parr said.
