Full field declared for G1 Turnbull Stakes

A capacity field featuring 11 Group One winners has been declared for the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.

The 2013 winner Happy Trails has topweight of 59kg in Sunday's 2000m feature, run under set weights plus penalties conditions.

The Paul Beshara-trained gelding has drawn barrier three in the full field of 16 plus one emergency.

Last year's Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist has barrier two while Godolphin import Hartnell has drawn wide in barrier 15.

Rising Romance has to contend with the outside gate while Alpine Eagle has also drawn out in barrier 14.

Sydney's premier trainer Chris Waller has accepted with Victoria Derby winner Preferment (barrier 10), Who Shot TheBarman (four), Weary (nine) and Royal Descent who had gate 13.
