This year's Melbourne Cup-winning jockey will receive a trophy named in honour of one of Australia's greatest riders.
The trophy will recognise the feats of Harry White who shares the riding record of four Melbourne Cup wins with Bobbie Lewis.
Bart Cummings trained three of White's Cup winners - Think Big in 1974 and 1975 and Hyperno in 1979.
He also won on the George Hanlon-trained Arwon in 1978.
Regarded as a master on stayers, White won almost 200 feature races during a 35-year career.
