Sprint star Lankan Rupee to miss spring

Lankan Rupee has been ruled out of the spring carnival.

Rated one of the best sprinters in the world, Lankan Rupee will have surgery to fix an off-hind hock issue.

The five-time Group One winner was beaten first-up when third as an odds-on favourite in last Saturday's Schillaci Stakes at Caulfield.
