Chautauqua dominates Manikato market

Tuesday 20 October 2015, 9:05am

Chautauqua dominates the market for the Manikato Stakes at $1.90 after drawing barrier two in the Group One sprint.

Terravista is the second favourite at $5.50 with the TAB and will start from the inside barrier in Friday night's 1200m-race.

Srikandi has eased to $7.50 after drawing the outside gate in the 10-horse field with Queensland star Buffering on the same betting line.

The winner of the TJ Smith Stakes in the autumn, the Hawkes Racing-trained Chautauqua has won both his starts this campaign.

The Joe Pride-trained Terravista, who beat Chautauqua in the 2014 Darley Classic and finished third in the TJ Smith, beat fellow Manikato runner Rebel Dane in his only start this spring.
