In form jockey Mark Zahra will miss the Melbourne Cup carnival after being suspended for 22 meetings at Moonee Valley.
Zahra, who scored a winning double, was outed following his winning ride aboard Our Voodoo Prince in the City Jeep Handicap on Friday night.
Racing Victoria stewards, headed by Terry Bailey, considered charging Zahra with reckless or improper riding before charging him with careless riding passing the 500m mark.
It resulted in a chain reaction with Killarney Kid shifting out onto Sysmo which in turn shifted out on to Nesbo resulting in Chris Parnham being dislodged.
Parnham was unharmed in the fall and rode Redlas to victory later in the evening.
Zahra's suspension commences after the Sale meeting on Sunday and he can return for the Zipping Classic meeting at Sandown on November 14.
The suspension will cost Zahra the mount aboard Politeness in the Group One Myer Classic at Flemington.
Tommy Berry was fined $500 for a celebratory gesture after his winning ride on Chautauqua in the Manikato Stakes while Linda Meech was handed a 10 meeting careless riding ban after winning the last race aboard Imperial Lass.
Craig Williams and Patrick Moloney escaped with a severe reprimand following interference in the opening race.
