Three Vic trainers fined by RAD Board

Thursday 29 October 2015, 4:56pm

Peter Moody has been fined $1500 following a RAD Board hearing over the raceday treatment of Lady Tatia in September.

A stable employee was found to have applied a medicated clay poultice to Lady Tatia prior to her scheduled start at Pakenham on September 16.

Racing Victoria stewards withdrew Lady Tatia from the Pakenham race, a move that prompted an angry response from Moody.

The top Melbourne trainer pleaded guilty to the raceday treatment charge before the RAD Board on Thursday.

Cranbourne trainer Robbie Griffiths was earlier fined $1000 after Roman Fizz returned a positive swab to Ibuprofen following his win in a maiden race at Pakenham on July 17.

Archie Alexander was fined $500 after his horse Red Shift returned a positive test to the same substance following its win at Pakenham on July 23.

Both Roman Fizz and Red Shift have been disqualified from their respective victories.
