Ryan Moore in Group One form ahead of Cup

Monday 2 November 2015, 5:55am

Less than 24 hours after winning the Breeders' Cup Turf in Kentucky, jockey Ryan Moore has claimed a Group One victory in France before he heads to Australia for the Melbourne Cup.

Moore, who won last year's Melbourne Cup on German horse Protectionist, will rode Snow Sky on Tuesday for Sir Michael Stoute.

His win on Johannes Vermeer in the Criterium International at St Cloud was for Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Breeders' Cup Turf winner Found.

Johannes Vermeer claimed a narrow win in France, eight days after he finished second to Marcel in the Racing Post Trophy.

The colt is now at 20-1 for next years's 2000 Guineas.
