Outside the autumn carnival, Melbourne Cup day is traditionally one of Sydney's biggest race days.
It will be no different on Tuesday at Randwick which will host one of 15 race meetings in NSW celebrating the Cup.
There will be 10 races on the program at Sydney's premier racecourse with plenty of entertainment options complementing the action on the track.
In true Melbourne Cup style, there will be a Super Sweep with a $5000 prize pool which racegoers need to enter by 2pm.
The Bucket List Beach Club marquee celebrates the iconic Sydney landmark that is Bondi Beach, also the name of one of two Aidan O'Brien-trained runners in the Cup.
Among the other celebrations in the in the state is the once-a-year meeting at Wentworth.
The outback town is located at the junction of the Darling and Murray Rivers and has a population of just over 1200.
Around 1500 people will pack the local showground for the five-race card which features the $13,000 Wentworth Cup.
