Buoyed by the overwhelming popularity of stunning first crop youngsters by exciting young sire The Factor (USA) at North American yearling sales earlier this year, his second crop of weanlings have also been in hot demand in recent days at the 2015 Fasig-Tipton November Sale and Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
Top seller for The Factor at Fasig-Tipton was the half-sister to Group I winner The Big Beast out of V V S Flawless that made $350,000 when secured by Alex and Jo Ann Lieblong, who race The Big Beast.
The Factor also had a colt sell for $190,000 at this sale from Flash Act and returned an average of $202,000.
Moving on to Keeneland and The Factor starred again with a top class filly from Siren Serenade that made $475,000 to the bid of George Bolton, Peter Leidel and Stonestreet.
The dashing bay comes with a lovely pedigree as a half-sister to Group I placed Luminance from a daughter of triple Group I winner Versailles Treat and half-sister to Group I winner George Vancouver.
Also making a fine impression a colt from Bayou Tortuga that made $200,000 when snapped up by Cavalier Bloodstock.
The first son of outstanding sire War Front to go to stud, The Factor achieved a Book One average of $149,000 and his top seller at $475,000 returned more than 31 times his US service fee.
Australian breeders have been delighted with their first foals by The Factor, who has been a busy boy this spring at Newgate at a fee of $16,500.
His first US progeny have been bought by some outstanding judges this year and will get every opportunity to excel in 2016 when they start racing as two year-olds.
