Hugh Bowman suspended for VRC Oaks ride

Hugh Bowman has been banned for 12 meetings out of the VRC Oaks.

Bowman pleaded guilty to careless riding aboard Pasadena Girl at the 600m, causing interference to Michael Walker's mount Princess Aria.

His suspension starts after Saturday's Emirates Stakes day meeting at Flemington where Bowman's rides include Terravista in the $1 million Darley Classic.

Terravista and Bowman combined to win the race last year and the Sydney sprinter is on the second line of betting at $8 behind odds-on favourite Chautauqua.
