Disqualified jockey Frankie Dettori will enjoy some family time before getting back into training for a return to racing in May.
Dettori, who recently took part in Britain's Celebrity Big Brother, was given a six-month ban following a positive drugs test in Paris in September, which he said had left him feeling "ashamed and embarrassed".
"I've got to give some time to my family, so I'm going to stay around for a while and I'm going to go skiing," Dettori told Channel 4.
"I'm going to stay away (from racing) until early April, as once I start watching races I'm going to start missing it. The later I leave it the better.
"That will give me a good six weeks from early April until May 20 to get fit, start riding out and getting contacts again.
"I've been married for 18 years to Godolphin and I'm not just going to jump straight into another relationship.
"I just want to find my feet, get my love of the game back and start fresh.
"I'm missing it so much. I'm missing the routine and missing being in the gym and training and the competition.
"This is the longest I've been without racing, but my love for the game is still there."
Dettori's last ride for Godolphin was aboard Cavalryman who finished 12th in the Melbourne Cup.
