Nick Hall takes early call on suspension

Thursday 18 February 2016, 12:22pm

Nick Hall has started a careless riding suspension to ensure he is back in time for a Group One ride.

The jockey gained releases from mounts at Pakenham on Thursday and Flemington on Saturday, freeing him to ride Zamzam in Saturday week's Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield.

He will also ride Fawkner in the weight-for-age Peter Young Stakes.

Hall's 10-meeting suspension from Sandown on Wednesday was due to commence after racing at Flemington on Saturday and it was going to put him out until February 29.

He didn't have a mount in Saturday's Group One Lightning Stakes but was down to ride Lizard Island in the CS Hayes Stakes and Alaskan Rose in The Vanity.
