Moody-trained Kinglike out of G1 Lightning

Friday 19 February 2016, 4:49pm

The Peter Moody-trained Kinglike has been scratched from the Black Caviar Lightning, leaving just six sprinters to contest the weight-for-age sprint.

Kinglike was withdrawn on Friday with Racing Victoria reporting that mucus had been found in the promising colt.

Winner of the Danehill Stakes during the spring, Kinglike was rated one of the outsiders in Saturday's Group One race at Flemington.

Chautauqua has firmed to $2.25 favourite over Exosphere with the Godolphin colt drifting marginally to $2.55.

The Chris Waller-trained stablemates Delectation and Japonisme, along with Joe Pride's Terravista and Jason Coyle's rank outsider Va Pensiero complete the small but star-studded field.
