The wait is almost over for fans of Black Caviar with the legendary mare to make a rare public appearance at Caulfield on Saturday.
The world's best sprinter is set to blow out the cobwebs with an exhibition gallop after race three which is scheduled for 2.05pm (AEDT).
The Melbourne Racing Club will have plenty to offer racegoers, including a competition in which first prize is a photograph with the champion mare.
Despite not having raced since her memorable victory at Royal Ascot last June, footage from Black Caviar's jump-out two weeks ago proves she hasn't lost her explosive speed.
Although Black Caviar will undoubtedly be the star of the show at Caulfield, Saturday's program does have a serious side.
It is also the National Jockeys' Trust race day which aims to raise money for the Trust, an organisation that has provided over $1 million in assistance to injured jockeys and their families.
The trust was established in 2004.
