Trainer Brett Cavanough has been fined $4200 by stewards over a positive swab returned by one of his horses.
Frog Hollow tested positive to the prohibited substance tetramisole after he won at Albury in October.
In fining Cavanough $4000, stewards took into account the fact tetramisole was only added to the list of banned substances in June 2011.
Cavanough was fined a further $200 for failing to log the administration of the substance in his treatment records.
Frog Hollow was disqualified from his Albury victory.
