Trainer Bjorn Baker's break-out season shows no signs of slowing down with Rock Of Mahal making a winning return at Warwick Farm.
Fresh from collecting his first Group One trophy with Music Magnate in Saturday's Doomben 10,000, Baker produced Rock Of Mahal for a first-up win on Wednesday.
Rock Of Mahal ($5.50) sat outside the leader in the All Too Hard Maiden Plate (1200m) and held off the fast-finishing favourite Elusive Star ($2.10) to win by a neck.
It was the gelding's first win in three starts but Baker is certain it won't be his last.
"He's a good horse and he's going to go on to bigger things," Baker said.
"Winning over 1200 metres first-up on a wet track isn't easy but he showed he is a horse going somewhere."
Rock Of Mahal was ridden by Blake Shinn who is locked in a battle to finish second in the Sydney jockeys' premiership behind runaway leader James McDonald.
Shinn pegged a win back on Hugh Bowman who had to settle for second on Elusive Star at his first Sydney ride back after a successful stint in Japan.
