First Frankel filly wins on debut

Saturday 4 June 2016, 9:07am

Queen Kindly, Frankel's first filly to make the racetrack has scored an impressive five-length debut win at Catterick.

Trained by Richard Fahey, she is a daughter of Lady Of The Desert and is the first Frankel filly born on January 14, 2014.

"We thought she'd win and I'd have been a bit disappointed if she'd got beaten," Fahey said.

"She's not very big but nor was her mother, she's just a professional little filly.

"She's been ready to run for three weeks. We did discuss Ascot, and we'll see how she is this week, but she's capable of being there.

"She's got so much speed but she can stay as well and we've got her in the Albany and Queen Mary."

Cunco, the first colt by the unbeaten champion Frankel, also won on debut last month.
