Daniel Stackhouse has had the day of his jockeying life with five winners on the trot at Sale on Friday.
Stackhouse rode every winner from race two through to race six, his only defeat coming in the opening race.
His first winner, and the only favourite on which he saluted, came with Ferfax at $1.80 in the Eastcoast Plumbtec Handicap.
Stackhouse followed up with victory on the previously unraced Kenthos ($8.50) in race three, My Saving Grace ($9.50) in race four, French Friday ($4.20) in the fifth and Kafil ($7) in the sixth.
A $1 all-up investment on the five winners would have returned $4,273.30.
Any plan for a celebration had to be put on hold with Stackhouse required for a ride in the last at the Moonee Valley night meeting.
The 22-year-old has had a big week, claiming his first stakes win on There's Only One at Caulfield last Saturday and his second Jolie Blonde at Mornington on Wednesday.
The Melbourne-based New Zealander is set for another milestone on Saturday when he has his first Australian Group One ride in the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes at Flemington on the champion mare's stablemate Golden Archer.
A winning double at the Sale meeting cemented the return to Australian racing of Stephen Baster following his sudden departure from Singapore.
Baster, who returned to riding last Sunday, brought up his first winner on Sir Squiggle in the opening race and finished the meeting with victory on the highly-touted Tigerland.
