Blue Diamond Stakes favourites Guelph and Miracles Of Life have met with contrasting barrier draw fortunes for the $1 million race.
While unbeaten South Australian filly Miracles Of Life drew the rails, Darley runner Guelph will have to overcome gate 13 to win the Group One at Caulfield on Saturday.
One of three runners for Darley trainer Peter Snowden, Guelph will be ridden by the stable's No.1 jockey Kerrin McEvoy.
Snowden will also start Metastasio and Montsegur who have drawn barriers 12 and eight respectively.
Premier trainer Peter Moody will have four runners - Dissident, Thermal Current, Kona Breeze and Quest For Peace.
There will be nine fillies against seven colts or geldings in the field of 16.
