Classy Perth galloper Luckygray has been made topweight for this year's Group One Newmarket Handicap.
The dual Group One winner is being aimed at the feature 1200m sprint first-up and will carry 58kg.
Group One winner Moment Of Change has 56.5kg and is the early favourite after his second to champion stablemate Black Caviar in the Lightning Stakes.
Ortensia, who is expected to bypass the race, also has 56.5kg along with Queenslander Woorim.
The 140th edition of the Newmarket will be run at Flemington on March 9.
Luckygray hasn't started since taking out the Group One Kingston Town Classic over 1800m in Perth on December 8.
He is set to be joined in the Newmarket by another star of Perth racing in Barakey, the unbeaten sprinter who was scratched at the barriers in Saturday's Oakleigh Plate.
Barakey has 56kg, the same weight as another Group One winner, the Newcastle-trained Atomic Force.
Horses up in the weights have a good recent record with six of the past seven winners carrying 56kg or more.
They include Hay List who lumped 58.5kg to victory last year and Black Caviar who scored with 58kg in 2011.
Last weekend's impressive Brisbane winner Better Than Ready is one of four three-year-olds still in the running for the Newmarket and has 50.5kg.
Moment Of Change is at $2.80 with TAB fixed odds ahead of Barakey at $4.40 and Luckygray at $6.
