It will be the dawn of a new era for the Paul Messara trained-Vadashan when the colt races for the first time in the silks of an emerging industry group at Rosehill on Saturday.
The three-year-old will put an unbeaten record on the line in the Endeavour Foundation Recycled Clothing Handicap (1500m).
Vadashan will also sport the colours of the Young Professionals in Racing, a group of racegoers who have a zero equity partnership in the promising horse.
"It is the first race in our colours," YPR founder and chair Kathryn Thomson told AAP.
"It's a fabulous opportunity to showcase YPR, and to experience race horse ownership without the daunting obligations."
Under the terms of the partnership, YPR members will not have to pay for the upkeep of Vadashan but they will not share of any prize money the horse wins.
Instead, for a group with a charter of getting the younger generation involved in racing, the experience and contacts gained are priceless.
"We have had very good feedback from our members," Thomson said.
"The Australian Turf Club have given us passes which allow access to the mounting yards and all the other experiences of an owner on race day.
"At select races we will do a ballot for our members to have the opportunity to be involved."
