Queen's horse set for exhibition gallop

Wednesday 6 March 2013, 5:06pm

Gai Waterhouse will roll out three of her best racehorses at Warwick Farm on Saturday but they won't be racing for prize money.

Top mare More Joyous along with imports Carlton House and Fiorente will all take part in exhibition gallops on Chipping Norton Stakes day.

Carlton House, a dual Group winner in England, is the first horse the Queen has had trained permanently in Australia.

The five-year-old will be making his first public appearance since arriving at Waterhouse's stable and will work with Melbourne Cup runner-up Fiorente over 1000m.

That pair will gallop after the second race with More Joyous to have her hitout after race one.

The champion mare, who is scheduled to resume in the Canterbury Stakes on March 23, dominated last year's autumn carnival winning all four starts, three of them at Group One level.
