Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin operation has reached another milestone with Hunter's Light bringing up Group One win No.200 at Meydan.
Sajjhaa later added to the tally to give trainer Saeed bin Suroor a Group One double.
Hunter's Light won the Al Maktoum Challenge (2000m), an acknowledged trial for the World Cup and Monterosso won the race last year before going on to glory in the main event.
He was in the line-up once again but was some way off the pace on his first start in 245 days, with Daddy Long Legs setting the gallop up front.
Breeders' Cup Turf winner Little Mike, having his first start since arriving from America and switching to the Tapeta surface, raced prominently before taking it up turning for home.
However, it soon became evident that he was struggling and Silvestre de Sousa produced Hunter's Light with a perfectly-timed run to win in convincing style.
"Hunter's Light is a lovely horse and he was also our 199th Group One winner when he took the Premio Roma in November," Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said.
"Tonight was a great performance and he will go to the Dubai World Cup (March 30) now.
"He is thriving here and is going to run a really big race in the Dubai World Cup. It depends on what else is going to turn up but, if he is running against the same horses as tonight, I would fancy him to win."
Second-placed Kassiano could also take his chance in the World Cup, along with Monterosso.
"We will sit down and think about whether Kassiano will run in the Dubai World Cup but, certainly on that run, he deserves his chance," Crisford said.
Sajjhaa made it 201 Group One wins for Godolphin when she finished with a flourish in the Jebel Hatta (1800m).
The six-year-old sported the Godolphin third colours and William Buick had to exercise extreme patience as he waited for a gap to open up along the rail.
However, when the space came, Sajjhaa proved equal to the task and accelerated through to claim a three-quarter-length win over The Apache.
