Australian John Size has become the third trainer to reach 1000 winners in Hong Kong, joining John Moore and Tony Cruz.
Size went into Wednesday's Happy Valley meeting on 999 and brought up the milestone with Game Of Fun in the third race and added another winner with D B PIn two races later.
"Any sort of milestone or achievement is important in any career," Size told the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
"It's a gratifying feeling, to reach 1000 wins in 16 years. It's OK for me, I'm satisfied with that, it's a very good feeling.
I just try to do my job daily and I take whatever results come with that.
"If you set too many goals, you are bound to be disappointed, so I am looking towards what will come tomorrow morning.""
Size is the reigning champion trainer and is nine clear of Moore this season after 48 of 88 meetings have been run.
Champion jockey Joao Moreira was also in the spotlight at the Happy Valley meeting, bringing up the quickest century of wins in Hong Kong racing.
His victory on Pakistan Baby came at the 441st race of the season with Moreira passing his own mark of 2015/16 when he reached 100 after 462 races.
Moreira will be in action at Caulfield on Saturday with a book of seven rides including mounts in two of the three Group One races.
He rides Sheidel in the Oakleigh Plate and Property in the Blue Diamond Stakes.
