Highly rated Ignite The Light has shown his potential with a Doomben win marred by his stablemate Ready Above breaking down and dislodging jockey Robbie Fradd.
Ready Above, who like Ignite The Light is trained by Toby Gollan, was travelling behind the pace when he faltered just before the home turn and Fradd came off.
After being attended by ambulance staff, Fradd was able to walk back to the jockey's room but was stood down by the club's doctor.
"I am a bit dizzy and my wrist is sore. But otherwise I am OK," Fradd, said.
Ignite The Light ($2.20) led all the way to win the 1200m-maiden by 2-1/4 lengths to Alseeya ($5.50) who ran second for the seventh time in his career.
Winning jockey Lani Fancourt said Ignite The Light seemed to appreciate being able to lead.
"Tony has a big opinion of him and he might be ready to live up to it,' Fancourt said.
