New Zealand Derby winner Gingernuts will run in the Rosehill Guineas in the lead-up to his attempt at another Classic victory.
The Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards-trained gelding will travel to Sydney on Monday ahead of the Guineas on Saturday and the Australian Derby two weeks later.
Owned by Te Akau Racing, Gingernuts will be ridden in both races by stable jockey Opie Bosson.
"Gingernuts has absolutely thrived since the Derby and Stephen and Jamie think he has improved," Te Akau boss David Ellis told nzracing.co.
"He'll be going on Monday and he'll run in the Rosehill Guineas and then the Australian Derby. Jamie, who rides him in most of his work, will take him over."
Ellis has ruled out a Brisbane winter campaign for Gingernuts who will be aimed at the Melbourne spring.
"Shocking Luck, who ran second in the Waikato Guineas, will be our Queensland Derby horse," Ellis said.
"He's back after a two-week break and he's now owned by a good client of Te Akau's in Hong Kong. The horse will go up there after Queensland to continue his career."
Gingernuts is the $8 second favourite for the Australian Derby behind Randwick Guineas winner Inference at $6.
