Apprentice Adam Sewell continued the best form of his career when he rode his fifth winner for the week on Magnatude at the Gold Coast.
Ridden a clever race by Sewell, Magnatude ($6.50) outslogged the field in the Cracker Barrel Handicap (2200m) which followed his first ever treble on Tycoon Tyke, Red Silhouette, and Waltham at the Sunshine Coast on Friday night.
Sewell, who also won on Counter Meal at Eagle Farm on Monday, did his original riding in NSW but has been on the Sunshine Coast for the past few months.
"I am out of my time in September so I am keen to keep the run going," he said.
Meanwhile, Steven O'Dea continued his good run when he won his third race from three starters this week with Lieder ($3.10) in the Class 3 Plate (1800m).
Lieder is owned by O'Dea's main client the Aquis Farm syndicate who as a large draft to go under the hammer at the Gold Coast March Yearling Sales starting Monday.
"I have had more than a dozen winners for Aquis and they are great clients," O'Dea said.
