Flemington trainer John Sadler is spreading his assets about as widely as he can in coming weeks as he chases feature races across Australia.
Having summed up the quality of the current juvenile crop, Sadler has decided his outstanding Sandown winner of two weeks ago, Go Again, is entitled to be tested as a Golden Slipper prospect while his early-season Flemington juvenile winner Ms Funovits will head to Perth in search of a feature win.
Sadler will also go to Sydney in search of a Group One win for his honest old stager Linton and will test out another recent winner Scarletini as a West Australian Oaks prospect.
Sadler said he had initially been sceptical about the track record time of 50.12 seconds Go Again was credited with after her debut win over 900m at Sandown, but was now satisfied it was correct.
"I had my doubts at first, but it all seems to be right. Jamie Mott who rode her said she was absolutely flying," Sadler said.
"It was an outstanding time."
Go Again will run in Saturday's Group Two Reisling Stakes which will provide the lead to her chances of running in the Golden Slipper two weeks later.
Ms Funovits who beat the well-credentialled Thermal Current at Flemington in January at her only run will tackle the Group Two Karrakatta Plate run on Golden Slipper day at Ascot.
Scarletini runs at Sandown on Wednesday in a trial for a trip west for the Oaks, having overcome difficulties to score well at Moonee Valley last start.
Scarletini runs in the Sportingbet Handicap over the same 2400m trip of the Oaks which is also run at Ascot on Slipper Day.
Linton, who runs against Black Caviar in the William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night, will go to Sydney for the $2 million Doncaster Mile second-up.
"He's well weighted in the Doncaster and he deserves a shot at a good race, so he'll be there.
"We're not expecting anything on Friday night behind Black Caviar, but it will still be an important run for him."
