Isabella Snowflake has undergone surgery on a severed tendon but her racing days are almost certainly over.
The filly suffered the injury to her off hind leg in Saturday's Group One Galaxy at Rosehill won by Bel Sprinter,
Her breeder and managing owner Craig McDonald said on Twitter the surgery had gone well but the risk of infection was a concern.
"surgery went well for Isabella - next few weeks/months crucial as infection is a worry. So far so good," McDonald said.
The Mick Price-trained filly has had just six starts, winning four times over 1000 metres.
She got into the race as the second emergency but was never in it with the injury apparently happening shortly after the start.
