Joe Pride predicted the brightest of futures for a maiden winner at Warwick Farm on Wednesday but reserved his greatest praise for the broodmare which produced the three-year-old.
Terravista, one of three runners for Pride in the Australian Turf Club Maiden Plate (1100m), became the latest winner for Parfore, an ageing mare who has left winners in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
The best performed of her progeny are the 2012 Singapore Horse of the Year Super Easy and Tiger Tees, the sprinter by Dubawi who Pride has trained to win nine races and almost $500,000 in stakes.
Pride, who brought up a double later in the day with Saintly Sun, has hopes for Terravista and an unraced full-brother to Tiger Tees called Ball Of Muscle.
"Parfore has been an unbelievable broodmare," Pride said.
"I trained a horse out of her called Our Boy Lukas and it was a scrawny little horse who didn't look like a thoroughbred at all but he won eight races.
"Everything out of the mare just wins and Terravista looks good as well."
Pride had weight of numbers on his side in the race and in the end he was thankful for the multiple representation as Terravista, specked from $18 to $15, was his only serious chance left as the field headed for the finish.
He lost Eight Feathers at the barrier when she became jammed in the starting stalls and was scratched while the well-tried Fast Take ($3.80) faltered near the 600m and was eased down to trail his stablemate home by 15 lengths into seventh place.
Ridden by Jason Collett, Terravista sat behind the leaders before taking control at the 200m to win by 3-3/4 lengths.
Pride is hoping Tiger Tees can add further to Parfore's reputation if Saturday's Sebring HKJC Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill is run on a rain-affected track.
"He'll only go around if it is wet but he's drawn well," Pride said.
Tiger Tees was left on a limb in last week's fast-run Group One Galaxy and finished ninth to Bel Sprinter and Pride said he was looking forward to some give in the ground.
"The track was a bit firm for him the other day," he said.
Trainer Guy Walter is making carnival plans for I've Got The Looks, who coped with a graduation to city racing with her win in the TAB Number 1 Club Handicap (1200m).
I've Got The Looks ($5) railed up hit hit the lead and fought bravely to beat Blazing Snitzel ($5.50) by a neck.
"I think she is a filly on the rise and I might give her a go in the P J Bell Stakes," Walter said.
