Berry, Hyeronimus suspended at Canterbury

Wednesday 16 August 2017, 6:34pm

A careless riding suspension will not cost Tommy Berry any time out of the saddle with the ban falling during the time he relocates to Hong Kong.

Berry was outed for seven meetings in his final race at Canterbury for the time being.

He heads to Hong Kong on Sunday, the day the suspension begins, to take up a one-year contract with trainer John Moore.

Berry is free to ride again on September 3, the first race meeting of the new Hong Kong season.

He pleaded guilty to shifting in aboard Quick Defence in the TAB Rewards Handicap, impeding Josh Parr on Plymouth Road.

Adam Hyeronimus will miss a week's racing after pleading guilty to shifting out on the winner in the same race.
